With ingenuity and creativity, Habitat’s own “Shab to Fab” volunteers repurpose and reimagine items from the ReStore.  This group of resourceful volunteers come together each Wednesday to pool their creative energy to raise money for their favorite cause!

Jasmine, Je’Mon, Kenya, LeAsia, Jabre
Jasmine Smith became an approved Habitat partner in May 2012. Jasmine is employed with Shore Home Care as a CNA I. She graduated from Carver HS and completed the Nursing Assistant certification at FTCC.  The mother of five, enjoys reading, skating, and watching movies.  Markie is the track star. He has been running track for NEXT Level for 3 years. He likes to act and just finished performing in a musical at school and had the lead role. Je’Mon loves all things sports. His favorite is basketball and football. The twins Kenya and Le’Asia are cheerleaders and came in second place at their competition. Jabre, the baby, likes basketball and loves playing with his older siblings. When asked what she is looking forward to most about being a homeowner Jasmine replied, “I am looking forward to meeting other families. I am also looking forward to raising my children in a “Home” and in a stable environment.” Jasmine added, “The children are looking forward to having their own space.  I am very excited about becoming a first time buyer."
